Lake Kisiba

Lake Kisiba is a scenic freshwater lake located in the Kagera Region in northwestern Tanzania, near the border areas close to Uganda and Rwanda. The lake forms part of the broader lake and wetland systems that characterize the Kagera region, an area known for its rolling hills, fertile landscapes, and rich biodiversity. Lake Kisiba is surrounded by green vegetation, small farming communities, wetlands, and gently sloping hills that create a peaceful and picturesque environment. The lake supports local livelihoods through fishing, small-scale agriculture, and water resources while also providing habitat for birds and aquatic life. The calm atmosphere and relatively untouched surroundings make Lake Kisiba an attractive destination for nature lovers, bird watchers, photographers, and visitors seeking a quiet rural experience away from crowded tourist areas.

Hiking Kilimanjaro has been an incredible experience that I will never forget. You are completely immersed in nature enjoying beautiful landscapes. It is amazing to see the changes through the ecosystems. You start in the rain forest and make your way through the moorland, alpine desert and arctic summit. My favorite national park thus far.

No words! 8 days of true adventures! Everything is so fantastic alone or in company….low budget or unlimited budget! In the end we all kneel down on this Majestic mountain and his/her surounding powerful nature! Everyone should experience an adventure like this! Deep breath!

It is amazing national parks, I really recommend everyone to visit, but the entrance fee is so high, like 600$ for 6 days, it don’t think that this benefits the Tanzanian economy, for me would be much better to remove the fee or just to make much smaller, in that case more tourists will visit Tanzania, and more money will go to normal people not to the institutions.
